Strategic & Service DesignerDesign Researcher

I design the decisions behind services, and the services behind decisions.

Service design as the method, strategy and research as the levers: I map stakeholders and needs, and give decision-makers a direction they can commit to. Consulting experience across government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors.

Earlier Work — the Japan throughline

Taiwan Good Agriculture

Ministry of Agriculture · 2018–2019 · Project Coordinator

Japan-market brand guidance for domestic producers, roughly ten a year, inside a program that has guided 155+ producers over 16 years. I scheduled the consultancies, worked on product development alongside the producers, and handled the Japanese-language liaison throughout.

The flagship was a Taiwan–Japan collaboration: Fu Wan Chocolate, working with Japanese culinary consultants and eslite, through a six-step pipeline that ran from raw-material selection to packaging to channel marketing, built for Japanese palates. Four products shipped and sold in both markets. I also took producers to the Great Okinawa Trade Fair and ran department-store pop-ups in Japan.

Mob Psycho 100 — Toei Company

Toei · Zukun Laboratory · 2017–2018 · Project Manager (intern)

VFX delivery for one third of the live-action TV adaptation of the Japanese manga. I scheduled cut by cut against the director’s PreVis, ran the revision loop between Tokyo and the Taiwan-based artists, and translated JP↔ZH throughout, on a production where a misread effects note costs a shooting day.

My first professional role, and where I learned that the hardest part of a cross-border pipeline isn’t the craft. It’s making sure two teams mean the same thing by the same word.

CGWORLD vol.237 documented the production — the Japanese CG industry journal’s VFX Anatomy feature, naming Toei’s Zukun Laboratory as lead and the Taiwanese studio I worked for among the CG/VFX houses.
